Rancho Cucamonga, CA: Punch Bowl Social is almost ready to open its doors in May to the residents of Rancho Cucamonga. This “eatertainment” chain with its large 19,000 square foot location in Victoria Gardens will be replacing what once was Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill.
Punch Bowl Social will offer food from scratch including mouth-watering burgers, as well as craft beverages, vintage games and social activities. There will be bowling lanes, two karaoke rooms, a giant Jenga, skee ball and the list goes on. The CEO and founder, Robert Thompson said that they are aiming to attract their key demographic, the millennials, and from the sound of it, Punch Bowl Social will do just that.
This will be the perfect place for groups of friends, large and small to get together and enjoy themselves over drinks, food, music and games. Punch Bowl Social already has eight other locations open in different states and is on target to open 10 more within the next two years, including the one in Rancho Cucamonga to open next month.
It seems like more and more places like Punch Bowl Social are popping up these days. Since more people are now shopping online, traditional retailers have been challenged in recent years. These large vacant spaces are now being taken over by entertainment chains and eateries such as Big Al’s, Haven City Market and now Punch Bowl Social.
The big question is, will places like Dave and Busters and Gameworks eventually close down due to their new stiff competitors? Or will they be able to revamp themselves to stay relevant with today’s millennial crowd? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, Rancho Cucamonga residents highly await the opening of Punch Bowl Social. A very well suited addition to Victoria Gardens and the Inland Empire. For other great posts, or for more information on Haven City Market, make sure to visit my blog or follow me on Facebook.
