If they plant it they will come.
I been seeing on Facebooks fields of sunflowers on Maui. I was like what is going on I better check this out. I was heading out to Kaanapali to show properties at Honua Kai Resort. On my way back there it was, fields of sunflowers where once was sugar cane. This turned out to be a major destination for everyone on the island. Cars were lined up on the side of the road, people were taking pictures, laughing and walking through the fields.
MauiNow.com did an article on the fields how they are even doing eco- tours. So what is going on, they planted the sunflowers to replace a crop of sugar cane which is finished with farming in the state. This is a 12 acres experimental field for Bio-fuel. I hope the bio-fuel takes off it would be good for Maui and just beautiful to the eyes.
