A day`s Fishing in the 10,000 Islands near Naples Florida
As busy Realtors in season it`s not often we get a day out together but this made up for all the hard work.
This is what living in Southwest Florida is all about and why we live here.
A couple of weeks ago Gilly and I went fishing with our friends Tom & Ginny down to the 10,000 Islands, it was a fantastic day out, we arrived at Everglades City shortly after the dawn broke and put the boat in the water and before we knew it, we were off!
It`s a most splendid area to experience boating and fishing, miles and miles of open and some not so open waterways, a veritable cornucopia of flora and fauna.
And fish lots of fish! the anglers gods were on our side that wonderful sunny pleasant day, looking back we caught around 12 or 13 different species, we enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed out for 8 hours or more.
During the trip our friends showed us the Watson Camp I`d reccomend that you research this camp and Ed Watson it`s quite the story.
To mark a perfect end to a perfect day, we packed up hauled the boat out of the water and headed home, after the usual chores of fileting the fish and washing down the boat and fishing gear, it wash time to jump in our friends swimming pool and open that 1st very cold beer.
During the next few hours, fish were cooked and along with cold beer & wine were consumed eagerly! the days adventures were recounted and some embroidered upon a little, well we are fishermen & fisherladies lol. lots of laughter filled the warm night air!
This is just an example of what you too should be doing when you buy a home in Naples Florida!
