2017 Boy Scouts Clay Shoot For Scouting Event

The Housatonic Boy Scouts Council, and the Wallingford Rod & Gun Club will be hosting a Clay Shoot event tomorrow Saturday, May 6th.  The proceeds from the 2017 Boy Scouts Clay Shoot For Scouting Event  will all go to benefit the Boy Scouts who are part of the Boy Scouts Housatonic Council.  

The Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts have a special place in the life of my family.  Both of my sons are Eagle Scouts, and I was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with them as they were growing up.  At the beginning of every school year their Troop, Troop 10 in Middletown, CT would be out trying to recruit new Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. 

The Boy Scouts of America is a great organization that helps our young boys and men learn skills that will assist them throughout their lives.  The Boy Scouts of America taught my two sons leadership, and survival skill that has equipped them to handle situations in their early adult years, and will continue to use throughout their lives.  The Boy Scouts of America teach our young men what it is to be a citizen and the duties we need to fulfill as citizens.  The Boy Scouts of America teach our young men to be respectful of others as well as themselves.  The Boys Scouts of America teach our young men to "Always Be Prepared" for everything in life

This is at least the second year the Housatonic Boys Scouts Council and the Wallingford Rod & Gun Club have been holding the Boy Scouts Clay Shoot For Scouting Event.  Each time I see this sign my mind automatically thinks of Lenn Harley, and her love for clay shooting.  I bet if Lenn was anywhere near the 2017 Boy Scouts Clay Shoot For Scouting Event she would have her shot gun in hand, and ready to take on all comers.
