This inexpensive staging of a small 4-bedroom cape cod flip in Teaneck, NJ helped it sell at full price to the very first buyer who saw it, even before photos were taken and put up! The key problem here was fitting in an eating area -- using a 42" round table and 4 chairs we were JUST able to show buyers where to eat without taking away valuable floor space from the living room (even though that may well be how they live later!). Using 2 shorter-than-average sofas with less depth to them as well showed buyers how to maximize the seating space in the living room, since there is no family room (although there is a finished basement).
The small master bedroom also needed to showcase a queen bed, which we we able to just fit in along with (2) 24" standard width nightstands -- we would have used smaller more expensive nightstands or even just one if necessary. The angled opposite shed dormer wall comfortably fit a 66" wide dresser (without a mirror above it because of the slanted ceiling), but showed buyers they had room for the basics. Although owners will likely add another tall chest next to the dresser, we didn't want to crowd the room -- less is more in staging :)
