My April Fools Contest Pet Peeve
I almost forgot about this contest, and this morning I had a run in with a real Joker of an agent ( not gonna call them a REALTOR® )maybe a (real-I-tor) and their action caused me to remembered the April Fools blog, and irrated my pet peeve.
There are Wonder-Women and Super-Men of REALTOR®. that go above and beyond their calling, my hats off to you. These superhero REALTORS are a pleasure to work with, and make everyone involved in the real estate transaction job EASY!
Then there is the JOKER real estate agent, which job is to make you go Bat Bonkers CrAzY.
I strive to give my seller clients, quality service. Providing everything you can about a property listing is a bonus, not only does it help the BUYER’S agent have all the information they will need for their potential buyer, it shows the seller you care about your profession. Needless to say, it ends up saving you time and trouble during the sales process. It drives me Bat Bonkers that a REALTOR® who takes a LISTING and puts very little information in the MLS about their client’s property. Please do your job, so the wonder woman agent, or the Superman of real estate, DON’T have to do the “Joker’s” job OF someone who calls themselves a REALTOR®.
Stop fooling around and do your job! When you take a listing that has acreages and do not bother with uploading a survey, the platt map, or an aerial photo to help another agent locate the property, you are being A JOKER of the real estate agent, and for your Seller’s listing. How the hell, is another agent going to show a potential buyer the property they’re interested in, unless the Wonder Woman or Superman REALTOR® must DO YOUR JOB!
I hate when I have to ask the listing agent, are the corners marked, is there an existing survey, do you have the county platt map, do you have anything other than….. “Where the property is located, and to look for your sign.”
We as REALTOR® have a standard to abide by, its not just about a paycheck, its a profession, and should be treated as such. If you don’t want to do your Job, find a niche that allows you to play the JOKER, and draw a paycheck, where you don’t have to do anything.
My other pet peeve is 21st century communication issues. Lets’ Get Real, it shouldn’t take 12 or 24 hours for an agent or client to respond to you. Most everyone has their cell phone in their hand, or pick it up at least once every few hours. They could at least just answer “the text or email” that comes across, it only takes a minute or less. or at least “acknowledge they've see it”
WHY DO THEY JUST CHOOSE NOT ANSWER? Because they are the JOKER and love to play around with your sanity.
