OMIGOSH I HAD A FANTASTIC TIME SATURDAY NIGHT 4/29/2017.
I had the great fortune to go see the 13th Annual Monroe Lip Sync performances (here's one fabulous act!) at the Wagner Performing Arts Center in Monroe. The Monroe Lip Sync is an organization that provides scholarships to Monroe Washington High School Seniors. Money raised through ticket sales and sponsoring partners goes to these scholarships.
I'm a NYC kid. I started going to live theatre when I was three. I would have to work really hard to figure out how many Broadway shows I've seen. The Lip Sync was some of the most imaginative theatre I've ever seen. I'm proud I contributed a tiny bit of a donation to this amazing effort. And I'm proud I'm part of a BNI (Business Network International) chapter, Sky Valley Business Boosters, which gave tremendous support to the evening. Gina Dahlinger, Artistry Skin Care, is on the Committee which produces the show. Several of her children routinely perform. Rod Dahlinger, Healthy Family Chiropractic in Monroe, Gina's proud husband, and proud father of the hoofing hams, also generously donated financial support to the Fund. Jim Lee, the Founder of Hometown Values Magazine, was a high-level donor, and in the audience applauding. Tom Starkey, Quality Sleep Monroe AND, as of 9/2017, Bellevue (WAAAY TO GO TOM!) not only gave generous financial support to the cause, he brought his family to enjoy the high jinks. And Duane Mach of Affordable Plumbing Services freely opened his wallet as well. I'm sorry to say Duane wasn't able to attend: he has a wicked sense of humor and this show would've gotten a smile. And my friends Mary and Andre DeWald of Ink Nutz branding merchandise made AWESOME customized Monroe Lip Sync logo thank-you plaques for the donors.
If there are season tickets, I'm in!
