Looking For A Seattle Houseboat For Sale?Seattle floating homes

Just in time for opening boat day tomorrow, the Seattle Floating Homes real estate market is finally opening back up  - What does that mean?   There are choices once again.  Not many Seattle floating homes for sale and they are going faster than the speed that boats can travel in Lake Union, but there are some really cool spots to claim your very own piece of the lake!

Right now there are three "ACTIVE" status Seattle floating homes for sale in the MLS. This means they are available for purchase. This is a different story already from just two days ago when Molly and I were able to secure the really cool shore side Eastlake floating home that was for sale on the Phoenix dock for an even one million dollars.  The seller of that floating home rebuilt the houseboat from the float up and they were looking at offers that day.  There were three or four offers that I know of in writing from various buyers and I know that the listing broker also received calls after we got under contract from other buyers interested in purchasing it. At the time that I was writing the market report on Wednesday, we were in a heated multiple offer situation and I was hoping that our buyers would get the home with the terms we presented.  As it turns out, we did get it for them!!!! Whew!

{Insert tip:  If you happen to be even thinking about selling your Seattle floating home, then please call us.  There are buyers looking and your home is probably worth more than you think. Molly and I represent Seattle floating homes owners all over Lake Union and Portage Bay and you absolutely want a floating home expert on your side to navigate the process. }

The Seattle floating homes for sale in the MLS currently are all Portage Bay floating homes - ranging in price from $749,000 for a beautiful home with no slip ownership to $1,400,000 for a floating home that comes along with fee simple ownership and other interesting perks.

Wards Cove floating homesInteresting sale of floating homes in the last couple of weeks - In addition to the Mallard Cove floating home we closed which was on the 2016 tour ($3,050,000), we also closed a Wards Cove floating home ($2,950,000) last week off market and a cool old houseboat in Portage Bay - an end of dock floating home (closed today) on the Shelby Dock which happens to be one of my personal favorite docks. When a long time owner decides to sell, the news travels fast on the dock and beyond.   It really helps to have someone with their eat to "the ground". This end of dock Seattle floating home is located at 1213 E Shelby St #18 - IT is an 808 square foot floating home with two bedrooms and one bath.  The previous owner had lived in this spot since 1969!  It has incredible details like wood that was imported from Nicaragua and amazing thoughtful brass plaques every where you look. The sales price was $1,300,000.

What Are You Looking For?

Every one of these properties is unique. Let us know how we can help you find your dream spot on Lake Union or Portage Bay.  By the way, we also sell land homes and can help you price out your move. We are particularly good at coordinating the logistics of a move off the water or on to the water and look forward to showing off our niche marketing to you.  We love our job and appreciate your consideration.  - Courtney & Molly
