Lake Ontario Water Levels

Generally where the boulders are in the above photo is where you walk. The pier in Webster, N.Y. generally has about four to six feet of space and even with waves, it would not get over the pier.

They are considering as of two hours ago of shutting down and evacuating Sodus point, New York.

The power of Mother Nature keeps a man at bay.

I certainly hope an evacuation isn't necessary Raymond. Seems like this spring has been wetter than in years past. We are well above normal precipitation levels here in the Charlotte area.

Just checking back, Raymond.  How are the water levels doing?

May 15, 2017 04:55 AM
Raymond E. Camp

All of the Great Lakes are substantially higher!

Basically, it is bad on both sides of the lake and the St. Lawrence is not much better.

With winds out of the Northwest, it is battering the shoreline here.

Hi Raymond, That looks dangerous and hope the storm has passed and the danger level has settled.

Debbie Reynolds Not yet, the water levels are over the flood range and with any wind out of the north causing lots of erosion.

Joanna Cohlan It is a combination of snow fall in Canada and the Northern States around the Great Lakes.

It will depend on snowfall this winter.

I do not believe in global warming!
