Speechless Sunday _ What's Wrong With This Picture?

Conflict of Centuries

Every now and then , history catches up to modern day, or is that the otherway way around? Seeing someone painting an historic home in an historic area is perhaps not unusal. That is until characters of the era the home was built just happen by on their horses. A moment is time when the conflict of centuries seems to defy logic.

So that aluminum ladder is how Paul Revere climbed into the tower of the North Church to light the lantern for "one if by land, two if by sea"!

Great juxtaposition in your shot, William. If the aluminum ladder didn't make the point clearly enough, the orange caution cones certainly did.

The orange cones and the aluminum ladder seem out of place with the rest of the scene.  Recently, I visited a website that provided similar errors in movie scenes we've watched.  Ah, a realm where past meets present, or the other way around!

Happy Sunday, William. This picture is a head-scratcher, isn't it! When you first look, it seems right and yet you know something is wrong.

William,

I agree with one of the wisest ladies on AR, Myrl Jeffcoat .  I was intrigued by all the horse liegs.  A

That looks a little like Old Williamsburg where people are wearing period costumes and riding horses.

LOL Interesting, William! As others noticed, those cones and aluminum ladder removed, this would be a complete trip back in time! Great shot!

Have a fantastic week!

I have seen a few tv shows about this sort of thing so the question is who is wrong, the two on the horses going forward or the painter going back?

Well that's a pretty cool picture!  Without the ladder and cones it could be a blast from the past.
