Was just reading the contest entry by Barbara Todaro and then wrote a comment that, I realized, really should be the basis for my entry. Here's what I wrote on her blog:
Barbara: I totally admire your dedication to your health and fitness. I'm all over the lot, used to go to the gym and thoroughly enjoyed it, then got into jogging. Have always played a lot of tennis. When I'm in Hawaii, I do a lot of swimming and snorkeling. Here in Carmel-by-the-Sea, I do a lot of walking, it's just that kind of town. It seems to be my MO that wherever I go, I will get a lot of exercise, but am not sticking to one thing. Same with real estate, I do all kinds, in 2 states. I get bored easily, need daily challenges. Guess that's what my contest entry should be about.
MY WORK IS MY LIFE
At this stage in my life, the personal aspect is woven into the business side. I find I need challenges, and real estate gives me that.
I take on all kinds of real estate because each transaction is a challenge. Some people like to work a certain niche because it's familiar. Not me.
And it's even more challenging because I am a real estate broker in two states, California and Hawaii. One is a trustee state, the other a lien state.
DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE NO "LIFE"?
Absolutely not. I meet fascinating people all day long, we get together in beautiful places, often we become friends.
ONE OVERLAPS WITH THE OTHER.
