I have been a mom for over 25 years now. Growing up I always looked forward to mother’s day and father’s day – a day when you shower that special parent with love and gifts and let them know they are appreciated. (Even though they always act like they know everything.)
Now as I am watching my own daughter mature and always make me so proud Mother’s Day doesn’t seem to have the same connotation it did when I was a kid. She is good to me all year long and I couldn’t ask for more. So do I really need a day? Nah…..but don’t tell my family because I love it when they take time out of their busy schedules to give mom hugs, the chance to see a movie she has been waiting to watch and maybe some shopping.
So for those who celebrate Mother’s and Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day and anniversaries…remember to be good to those loved ones all year long! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
