I would not dare walk through that area, I would certainly leave them be, haha.

Good morning Joanna. OK, I'll bite: where is this? The Galapagos. Enjoy the day.

Thank you very much for sharing your photograph. I am glad that we do not have those creatures in our neighborhood.
Good morning, Joanna -- yet another adventure, a wonderful photo and such a creative title. Well done. As always.
Good morning Dorie Dillard and Harry F. D'Elia and Nina Hollander and Grant Schneider and Ron and Alexandra Seigel - this was taken on Isla Mujeres - it was an old airstrip that we just happened to turn into in our golf cart. The IGUANAS were like NYC pigeons and I guess they love lounging on the cement and in the abandoned building. It was really crazy to see so many!

Hey there Michael Jacobs and Sheila Anderson and Roy Kelley and Brian England - we do not have these in my neighborhood either but I don't think they bite! They eat bugs and there were plenty on this abandoned airstrip so I guess they are in the perfect spot!

Good afternoon Joanna,
Looks like they are waiting for the dinner call.
Make yourself an astonishing day.
Of all the places I could go in a day, that would not be one of them. Reptiles aren't my thing.
Hey there Raymond E. Camp -you are right - the ants and mosquitoes are being served up!
Not my cup of tea either Chris Ann Cleland BUT, I think this random encounter was pretty special!

At first look I thought they were seals then large lizards. You are right they do look prehistoric.
I know, a bit like alligators but more like those things with big tails in the movies Debbie Reynolds !
We who enjoy your Wordless Wednesdays, ALWAYS enjoy your take on things. Prehistoric Playground, alliteratively spot on! And this would be the kind of place I would love to land upon. In the present OR the past.
Joanna,
I like this photo and your explanations too! Wild and crazy but so educational and fun!
Thanks for joining me you two Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Real Estate and Patricia Feager on my Journey to the Center of the Earth!
Joanna, was also wondering where this was, as I saw something similar in Costa Rica. CUTE!!!
Oy not so cute Joan Cox - they kind of creeped me out! So many of them in one place reminded me of a Jules Verne movie!
