After I build the peep box, it is time to take a photo of it. I find that the perspective can be changed when the light inside the box is increased.

the box

This box was fun to make, I used junk mail, foil, a clear glass marble, a stapler and a long skinny box,  contructed while listening to the song "The Look of Love" Burt Bacharach, on a 1954 General Electric portable turntable.

We are now ready for whatever our real estate day may bring!

It's wonderful to know there's a purpose for junk mail!

Hi Barbara -- I don't recall previously hearing the term "peep box" and then I click to see you have written posts on the subject.   Learning something new every day and amazed at creativity that eludes me.

What a fascinating process that is.  I haven't heard the term "peep box" in several years.

Kat: My husband knows to save the extra colorful junk mail for me in a special file. Electric company mail is the best!

Michael: I have been making these since I was a kid, seemed like a good idea to start making them again. I think you would find these easy and fun to make, cut a hole in the front and the top of a small box, staple the sides with pictures and look inside. The box will build itself if you keep the scissors and stapler handy!

Mryl: I use the term "peep box" as it started out as a school assignment to build them for our 6th grade literature class. (This box is technically "diorama,"  however, the box was so long that one must still "peep" to get a good look inside.)

Thank you all for your visit today! :)
