About the Conejo Oaks Area


Conejo Oaks is a hidden gem in the heart of Thousand Oaks.  One of the original communities this area boasts large lots, some of which are even horse zoned!  Many of the home owners are either original owners or bought their home from their parents.  Conejo Oaks has no sidewalks, no street lamps and it is not uncommon to see people riding their horses or walking their goats!  All while being smack-dab in the middle of the city!


This is the area I proudly reside in.  One of my favorite features about this area is not just the ease of access to two parks where ALL the biggest city events happen, the close proximity of hiking trails and the ability for your kids to walk to school, but also the Conejo Family Country Club.  This is a great members-only facility with a swimming pool, club house, showers, a park, playgrounds, BBQs, tennis courts and even a basketball court!  I enjoy being a part of this so much, that I even volunteer my time to serve on the Board of Directors for the club!

There are traditionally three types of real estate markets, the Buyer's Market, the Seller's Market and the Balanced Market.  I have taken this one step further and developed the "Strong" versions of the Buyer's and Seller's Market.  The strong markets are within 2.5 months of the end of the spectrum.  These markets are determined by the number of months it will take to sell all the homes actively on the market, at any given time.  

Below is the scale I use to determine the type of market each area is in:

Strong Seller's: 2.5 months or less
Seller's: Less than 6 months
Balanced: 6 months
Buyer's: 7 months or more
Strong Buyer's: 9.5 months or more
