Happy Mothers Day to All REALTOR Moms!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

"I got my real estate license so I can have a more flexible schedule."

Yup.  I thought so anyway.  Boy, was I NOT thinkin'! If anything, it's made me more creative with my schedule, and made me make every minute possible productive....

(Okay, if I make the listing appointment for 2:3O, I can still get home, get Joe in his uniform and Jay to guitar lessons and make the ball game 15 minutes early till Mark gets home and covers supper so I can get to my evening appointment and get back in time to look up property for the lady that called on the way home today...)

I'm proud to say that I've never missed a game, practice or guitar lesson...and that's how I really measure my success.  It's been interesting living on the fly sometimes, but I've learned to balance the two biggest loves of my life....my family, and selling real estate.

Flexible....not hardly.  Creative? Yup.  Off the cuff?  uh-huh. Seat of the pants? Sometimes. Able to say no? Essential.  Organized? Insanely, yet liquid.  *cringe*

Moms of the Industry, Kudos to you all...!  To us, multi-tasking means being able to set up property, throw in a load of laundry, order a pizza, and find where those dang cleats are hiding again, while we put on make-up,heels and the professional polish of well, a professional.

You hit the hammer on the nail.  We do it all and still look good after all that.  I am thankful that God made us multi-tasking women.  Happy Mother's Day to you as well.

I love this business..I can be sitting at my son's practice and working a deal on the cell...sometimes it is a little crazy..but so flexible...

Coming from the back end of your experiences, I now have one daughter also selling real estate, another working in our real estate office doing bookwork (she is pregnant with my 2nd granddaugher) and a son going to Long Beach State. I look back and honestly wonder how I did it all! Soccer games with 3 children, one of which I was always coaching (trading off which child I coached each year) for 16 years, active PTA member/President, involvement in our local neighborhood association, and working full time.  But the best part...being an active participant in my childrens lives then and now!  When it seems overwelming, know that someday you will look back and treasure every Pancake Breakfast, every 9AM game, every Back to School night and just the laughter and love!!
