Blue skies were smiling at us this morning.  It reminded us of Willie Nelson's song Blue Skies! This photo was not enhanced at all!

www.luxuryrealestatemarketing.com

The market was crowded this morning.  The mild temperature with a high predicted of 81 brought out everyone.  These early girl tomatoes herald the beginning of tomato season.

There is still time to plant tomatoes in Santa Barbara.  These are mostly organic heirloom varietals  We were almost tempted to buy a San Marzano plant.  They are the best tasting cooking tomatoes.

Arugula was plentiful today, and we came home with a bunch.  We are making a tre colore salad, arugula, endive, and radicchio, topped with slices of aged Parmesan and toasted walnuts.  We will toss all these ingredients with a dressing of lemon and olive oil.

These apricots are amazingly delicious.  We had not seen this variety before, because their outer skin was soft and smooth.

And peaches abounded everywhere we looked.  Wishing you lots of Saturday Smiles and nothing by blue skies smiling at you all!

Blue Skies
Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothin' but blue skies do I see
Bluebirds singin' a song
Nothin' but blue skies from now on
I never saw the sun shinin' so bright
Never saw things goin' so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly by
Blue days, all of them gone
Nothin' but blue skies from now on
Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothin' but blue skies do I see
Blue days all of them gone
Nothin' but blue skies from now on
Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothin'…

Nina Hollander it is one of our favorite Willie Nelson songs too.  At one point in time I had blue skies, and I would change the lyrics when we headed to Utah to ski.  Now, I have diamonds on my skies, so i have to change songs to Diamonds on the top of my skies, with all due respect to Neil Simon's song, Diamonds on the soles of her shoes.  LOL A .

The blue Santa Barbara sky was definitely smiling at you on Saturday, Ron & Alexandra! Those Early Girl Tomatoes look heavenly and are always a choice for me when I visit the market as well - I could eat them like an apple...with a little pepper, oh my gosh!  LOL

Our peaches should be the highlight of the market this week or next - crops are coming in now and we always look forward to their harvest!

Have a wonderful week!
