Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 129th week!
Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
The world of art is subjective, perceptive, reactive and tells us a great deal about our culture and can even influence politics. Today we'll explore your views on art in your world.
Debe Maxwell found this "yard art" in Charlotte NC while attending a listing presentation. Talk about a statement piece! This can create quite a first impression. Wonder if they'll take it with them when they sell?
The "Art of Trash" in Maui is just one of many ways that we can take humans' "waste" and make it into art, the best kind of recycling in my opinion! Georgie Hunter shows us how.
Several Active Rain members are wowed by the art of Dale Chihuly. Roy Kelley, Sharon Lee and Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert, just to name a few. (I was so fascinated that I started a Pinterest board of his art). She took us with her to show us his world-reknown talents. (And did you know he's blind??)
Care to take an Art Walk in Indiana? Walk, jog, take your dog, there will be many art sites along the way! Thank you, Jeff&Grace Safrin for great photos!
As art can often bring up strong opinions, this last Academy Awards touched a nerve with Endre Barath. Life Imitates Art or Art Imitates Life or Politics. He compares this to real estate life.
Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels.
