Amore Monday at Carrabba's Italian Grill, Germantown, Maryland

Amore Monday at Carrabba's Italian Grill in Germantown, Maryland is a good reason for a date night with good food at a very reasonable price. They offer a three course meal for $12.99 and you may have left overs to take home.

Last Monday, Chef Dolores and I shared the Calamari with marinara sauce for an appetizer. Dolores had an Italian side salad and I opted for the Caesar side salad. You have a choice of soup or salad. The entree was Linguine Positano (with wood grilled chicken, crushed tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and basil). For dessert, we shared a John Cole (vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and roasted cinnamon rum pecans). Yes, this was the $12.99 meal. 

The house wines are Bonizio white and Bonizio red blends which we enjoyed. If you sit in the bar area during happy hour, you get a 9 ounce pour for $6.79. We were lucky to have an outstanding server, Moriah. She made sure we had special treatment.
