Wordless Wednesday - There's No Place Like Home

Good morning Joanna Cohlan ,
I love these bright colored pet houses!! It looks to be a cemetery but where? Inquiring minds want to know.
Good morning Joanna,
Brings back so many memories of past pets.
Make yourself an astonishing day.
It took me a second or two to realize this is a pet cemetery Joanna Cohlan It is a pet cemetery, right?
Joanna,
The final resting place? Very colorful, and I think Dorie Dillard is on to the answer--a pet cemetary! Happy Wednesday. A

Hey Joanna... okay, I'll bite. Is this a cemetary for bird houses, for birds? If so, very creative and interesting and where did you take this picture>
OMG, this is NOT a pet cemetary everyone- Ron and Alexandra Seigel and Doug Dawes and Grant Schneider and Dorie Dillard - it is a human cemetery in Mexico and these are in fact the kinds of monuments that are used for both containing remains and more traditional burial. We saw a funeral procession there but I did not feel comfortable taking photos so we waited until it was over and then shot.

Good morning Joanna. Well if I hadn't stopped to read your comment I would have went long with the others... Interesting, compared to what we do here.
Good morning, Joanna -- interesting. They definitely make a statement for a final resting place.
Of course, how could you know that Doug Dawes? So many different cultural opportunities to observe when we travel, don't you think Michael Jacobs and James Dray ? So much to learn.

Hi Joanna -- yes, life is an adventure -- so glad we get to tag along on your ride too.
Very interesting photo and explanation. The "homes" house remains? Is there another reason/purpose for them to be shaped as homes with crosses? Is it a church or some Catholic symbolism do you know? -Kasey
I thought it was a human cemetery, then scratched my head and thought, but wait....no.....well, go with your first thought, that's usually the right one!
I saw a funeral procession for a child while traveling in Guatemala. The children followed in a single line, all in their school uniforms. Small casket, really quite a moment and I still remember it clearly, even though that was in 1989.
Snapshots of travels tell such fascinating tales of life in other lands.
Not being Catholic, I know of no other symbolism for these houses other than they are holy and holding sacred souls Kasey & John Boles
Good morning Michael Jacobs and Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Real Estate - there are so many wonders in the world-so many places and so little time (and money) to celebrate them all!

I was trying to figure out what that was all about then read your comment. Very enlightening.
And of course the beautiful colors make this feel like a place of celebration rather than solemnity Debbie Reynolds.
