It's getting more and more rare to find those businesses that are landmarks of the Town of Jupiter. Our growth has soared in the last 15 years and some of the traditional favorites are being slowly displaced by what are supposedly the latest and greatest. I'm here to tell you that I frequent them all and find that my favorite haunts have been around a while and never disappoint while some of the new places leave a lot to be desired. Today I want to tell you about The CONNECTION.
You've heard the saying that "the more things change the more they stay the same" then welcome to The CONNECTION. There have been a couple of owners over the years and we're well into The CONNECTION's 5th decade of operation About 200 yards west of Alternate A1A (aka 811) on Center St. you'll find them on your right. Open the door and you'll hear the radio playing some oldies (50's, 60's and 70's) in the background. It's almost spartan although there are a few counter seats for those wanting to "dine in". Generally, the customers flow constantly in and out with to go orders. Our habit is to grab a sub or sandwich, some chips and a Snapple then head to the inlet.
My first trip to Jupiter was in '85 and have had a home here since '87. That's also the 1st time I visited The CONNECTION however, I believe it was called The French Connection at that time by previous owners and was located catercorner to the present location. The best part is that it's still here, so am I, and the staff always greets you with a smile while providing excellent service and food while doing so.
Want something international today, I recommend a French Dip!
(don't forget extra napkins, you're probably gonna need 'em)
