Why Do REALTORS® Strive for a Seamless Home Purchase?


This is the time of year when graduations, weddings, family trips and summer plans are taking place.   All of the time lines, out of town guest schedules, and a lot of planning takes place for those events.  All of those activities can be stressful.  Stressful enough to evoke thoughts of panic when including lots of attendees.


Having just attended an out of state high school graduation for my granddaughter, I can tell you that my daughter sailed through the planning of this event.  She dealt with out of state guests, graduation practice, clothes, gifts, and the party afterward.  To me, it looked seamless but I know it only took place with LOTS of planning as she's a busy full -time manager in retail and married with three children!


Why is this so important and what does it have to do with Why do REALTORS® Strive for a Seamless home Purchase?  Well, in a nut shell, planning to buy or sell your home is much the same planning.  You have to get ready by “dressing up your home to sell” for the eventual repeat of showings to complete strangers (buyers.)  First impressions are super important.  You plan for the hopeful walk across the stage when an offer is presented.  And you hope like heck not to trip down the stairs after it’s all over by managing the complete process without any hiccups. 


That is the outcome that all real estate pros hope to achieve.  It’s my personal mission to not have ANY hiccups so you can imagine when all of that is accomplished and your clients surprise you with the ultimate compliment – a surprise  personal reference.  


Right after closing, my clients paid me the nicest compliment I could ever hope to receive.  His words went something like this, "I had no idea what went into buying a home. "  He went on to say that he thought we'd be seeing homes, all casual like, and then the real work started.  He said everyone from the escrow officer to the lender to me did a super job.  I was beaming hearing that over the phone.


He went on to write the nicest compliment I could ever hope to receive on Linkedin thereafter.   I'm proud to have it there knowing that anyone can see it and he also references my niche in real estate.   Feeling a bit nostalgic as this was their first home!
