Clean air, rushing trout streams, mountain lakes...what a day to look for log homes!

The high winds of yesterday have passed through from the weekend and the morning has started out fresh and green. I would have ridden the Fat Boy to work but I'm going to be out showing a Buyer new log homes today. This is the time of year that oak trees are throwing pollen, but once the wind or rain has knocked it off the trees, one decides it's all worth it. We're going to be looking in both Western North Carolina and Northeast Georgia for the next several days so it will be a great time to enjoy the countryside. The nice thing about selling land or cabins in the mountains is that it's like sightseeing everytime one goes out. Too bad I can't haul a family around on the motorcycle the way I can in the Tahoe.  It's a great way to find new local rides though so I can't complain.  I'm also pleasantly surprised at the increasing number of riders that are buying second homes here in the mountains, and they're pleasantly surprised at the fact that our prices have remained reasonable, even though our market hasn't "tanked" the way many places have. Come see us in Murphy if you get the chance!

Thanks for the response. My husband and I are both retired Navy so needless to say we have spent time in sunny California, both San Diego and the Bay area. If ever I have clients heading your way I will contact you.  Feel free to do the same if you have folks heading this direction. I pay a 25% referral fee for either the Buyer/Seller side of the commission. I was out until 7:30 tonight showing log home properties or I would have answered sooner. Kaye

Hi Kaye, If you work with alot of buyers looking for log homes, let me know if you need any assistance with financing.  We specialize in log home financing so we're able to overcome the "comps issue" that some lenders struggle with for the appraisal.  We have been providing financing to this niche market on a nationwide scale for 11 years now.  I guess with a name like "Log Lenders of America" we'd have to specialize in it :)

I have a passion for log homes and really enjoy working with folks who have the same passion!
