I trust everyone is having a super successful Sunday!
I am in a conundrum. Here are the details:
- I have a contract with tenants where the contract expires at the end June 30, 2017.
- Tenants have verbally given notice that they will not be renewing the lease on May 31, 2017.
- They also asked if I could let them stay in the property a few more days on May 31, 2017.
- Then on June 1, 2017 they said they would like to stay until July 10, 2017.
- I started to advertise the home on May 31, 2017 and got perspective tenants.
- I called and gave 24 hour notice to the old tenants and they said that I could only show M-F from Noon to 2 Pm with 24 hour notice. Now I still have not agreed to letting them stay until July 10 or at what rent rate.
I am at a loss as to what to do because most of the prospect would like to see the home during evenings and weekends and so I have lost everyone that has called in except one. Also, the current tenant will not let me show until this coming Monday.
Please HELP me sort this out. I don't want to kick them out but they are making it hard on me. Lastly, I am not in town the last week of June to do a walk thru with them.
Should let them stay until July 10 and if so at what what rent rate? or should I keep to the current lease and have them move out on June 30?
PS. Here is what my contract states regarding showings:
