Tuesday Travelogue-June 6th

Real Estate Agent with John L Scott Market Center 700512026

Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 131st week!

Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:

 to enjoy the ride"

"take a trip without even leaving the farm"

"expand your horizons"

"see through someone else's eyes"

  and hopefully much more!

This one is a bit late today...real estate, great gardening weather....you know how it goes. You have to seize the moment

Taking time for ourselves in real estate is sometimes catch-as-catch-can and allowing ourselves moments that don't require work for others is the best kind of relaxation and very needed for balance. This is a different twist on the usual Tuesday Travelogue.

Mindfulness Moment is my first "travel" place, to the Main line in Philly--not exactly a place of leisure that I would immediately think to go to! But, Nick&Trudy Vandekar give us a chance to see the other side of Philly, by spending time in their garden.

I don't usually put photos of people in my Tuesday Travelogues, but this one is about "savoring each extraordinary moment" and sometimes that means gathering lots of people together who are all related and going on a Caribbean Cruise!!! Thank you for the reminder, Dorie Dillard.

In the Moment, A Whale Tale, there aren't lots of people who can say that they've experienced this first-hand and since I have, let me tell you that it's jaw-dropping! Ron and Alexandra Seigel take us there. I love what Alexandra said: "I stopped taking pictures.  It was a choice of being in the moment or recording the moment."

Another family "moment"  from Maryland/DC that was so worth sharing, even though it is a photo not of travel, but of something precious. Coming back from Iraq. A BIG welcome home. Dan Quinn stands as a proud father-in-law talking about this reunion!

 A Soldier's Precious Moments

I'm going to end this travelogue on a very different moment by visiting with a man not from our continent but speaks to things that all of us across the world face in our age of technology. A moment of unsubscribing. Please watch it all of the way through as it's TOTALLY entertaining and will end your moment here with a laugh!

Norm and Sandy Padula bring us great joy with this grand TedTalk .

Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels.

Lise Howe this one was very eclectic, to be sure. Going with the theme of the 'moment"which generated the ideas of these.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel I have gone on one official whale-watching trip off the Oregon coast. Was sick as a dog, took scads of fabulous whale photos, way  back in the very early 80s, dropped and broke my camera and then my photos were stolen by a so-called "friend" who was also a photgrapher at the timel It was all a nightfmare. I never did get these photos back

Loved the others too - it's good to see others enjoying themselves, taking a break from the 24/7 work lives we lead!

Belinda Spillman gotta love those flash moments that reveal the lives of our AR comrades.

Dick Greenberg my one-and-only escapade into the ocean--on a boat on the OR coast-- for whale-watching involved a lot of drama. Total sea-sickness, 8 rolls of film (back in the very early 80's and the guy who I gave it to to develop it stole my work and my money to pay to have them developed. It went on for months. A horrible situation of being completely ripped off by someone I thought was a friend). I need a do-over.

Kasey & John Boles thank you. I hope you viewed some of them!

Roy Kelley I am grateful that there are still people that want to indulge in it.

Debe Maxwell, CRS how wonderful to hear that! I used to have a firm hold on what theme I wanted to present and now it's getting more and more challenging. That Ted Talk WAS hysterical and I don't have enough of that kind of humor daily...that's why I like sharing it.

Lou Ludwig didn't know that you checked these out--thank you for the "virtual visit"!

Paul S. Henderson, CRS, REALTOR®, so glad that you took this trip with me the other day! I switched to John L Scott Market Center on May 18th--same day that Mt St Helens blew in 1980, same day that my ancient kitty, Rocky departed this world just a few minutes before I was heading in to start all of the paperwork, etc. to officially switch. Same day as a good friend's birthday and SAME DAY as my in-laws' wedding anniversary! Wow. Big day, huh?
