A innovative idea for Gainesville is almost here! Butler Town Center will soon provide a "food hall" along with other plans for over 200 homes, shop, a 14-screen movie theater, and more. A "food hall" is an advanced food court with many high quality, non-fast food restaurants in one area, which is already popular in major cities in the United States.
In the Gainesville 'food hall", there will be 11 to 15 hand-picked vendors, and those in the running include a craft beer tap room, kiosks offering flowers, fruits, a French Bistro, and vegetables, and many more. It will help restauranteurs build their businesses.
The 13,000 square foot "food hall" will be called Stengel Field Food Hall and sport an aviation theme due to the Stengel Field, an aviation field named after the aviation pioneer Carl Stengel, that the Butler Town Center and Butler Plaza was built on. This modern food court is arranged to be ready for business by the fall of 2018!
