Friday Photos ~ Would You Stop For This Sign?

Real Estate Agent with Front Gate Real Estate Broker 11085

Compare the two signs below. The sign on the left is worn, tired, and faded. Some people might not notice, but I thought it reflected poorly on the neighborhood.

Since I'll be placing one of these units on the market soon, I didn't want anything to create a negative impression as potential buyers drive through the community. So I snapped a photo and notified county officials.

Within 48 hours, a pristine new stop sign was installed.

Faded Stop Sign New Stop Sign

It only took a minute to make the call, but what a difference!

Excellent idea, Pat.  Kudos!   I was thinking a similar thought the other day about some city speed bumps that need to be repainted for safety purposes.

That is a great idea! Far above and beyond what most other agents would do-Heck, most agents dont even seem to care that much about their own yard signs!

I really have to wonder about the agents who use old, worn-out, beat up signs and riders on their listings. Not very professional and I think it shows that the agent doesn't respect the property it is placed on.  As a matter of fact, I think I will write something up about that topic now!

Wow great idea.  I would honestly not have thought of notifying anyone and I would have thought it would be a big bureaucratic thing to change out.  That's awesome. -Kasey

Sometimes it takes citizens to wake up the proper governmental officials or agencies to get things done.  You're right about that old sign reflecting a little on another wise great neighborhood.

Carol Williams ~ I've worked closely with county officials throughout the last few years, so I knew exactly who to contact, but the info is readily available on most municipal websites.

That was great initiative on your part Pat. I'm sure the neighbors appreciated it without knowing how it was brought to the city's attention. So helped out more than just your clients.
