Quick Fix Photo Editing

Real Estate Broker/Owner with New Paradigm Partners LLC EB #1326335

One of the common problems we often see with listing photos is that they seem a bit washed out or hazy. And one of the coolest tools I've found to deal easily with that is Lightroom's Dehaze adjustment.

I wanted to show you a quick demo of how this tool can make a dramatic difference in just a few seconds, so I asked Lottie Kendall if I could use her contest photo for the demo, which she graciously agreed to. And I wanted to show you in a video - seeing is believing, and you can see it happen in just a few seconds in the quick video below.

Lightroom isn't a free program, and it's not for everyone. But for those who take their own listing photos or like fooling around with photography, this is the most exciting program I've run across in a long time. And it's definitely worth the effort to learn - there are some great, easy to follow tutorials available - and worth the $9.99/month subscription cost, which *BONUS* includes full Photoshop as well. Check out the free trial to see if you like it.

The contest deadline for the Before & After photo editing contest has been extended to June 11, 2017 @ 11:59PM. There's still plenty of time to snag 1500 points!

I'm trying to determine if I'm going to continue to do my own photos or hire that out.  This tutorial may help me make that decision today.  Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Dick,

Great example!  I am so glad you are enjoying using it. Rather than go and try to find the files on the computer, my husband just goes back to LR and grabs the picture and exports it to the desktop and moves it to the listing or the blog! Then he deletes the desktop pic. Very easy and you don't have to search for pics.

Dick that is a very noticeable difference.  If I was a Realtor and taking my own listing pictures, I would invest the money into this program.

Hi Dick --- I missed this yesterday.  Otherwise I would have an ideal candidate to suggest for Carol Williams' Second Chance Saturday post.    Bookmarked too.

Thanks, Dick.  I've gotten away from photo editing and need to get back up to snuff on the cool tools available.  Which program do you think has the easiest learning curve... Lightroom or Photoshop?  Do you know if PhotoShop has a Dehazing tool?

That's pretty impressive, Dick, and good to know about. Not sure I do enough with editing to start paying for a program, but maybe that would incentivize me enough. I certainly have taken plenty of photos that need help!

Good morning, Dick. Very impressive, and seeing it happen before our eyes in your video is great. Good thing I take only snapshots and hire a professional photographer for my listings.

WOW! What a transformation, Dick! I definitely need to give this a try - I've been using local (Mac) editors and Ribbet so, to have something a bit more robust and effective is music to my ears.
