Blog no more

Mortgage and Lending with Accounting and Tax

Through my many posts or blogs that I have written on Active Rain. I have received both, good and confrontational comments. I look forward to the confrontational comments. When comments are made that are confrontational, it merely shows an opinion, a different way to look at things, or simply anger at the things that are written down on the blog. Either way, it shows that the wheels are turning inside someones head and makes them think. The thing that I can not stand and will not be a part of is false accusations. Obviously when accusations are made falsely, it shows a side of the brain that is unacceptable. At least it is unacceptable in my book.

I have ALWAYS been open and honest. Not only with my clients, but my colleagues as well. What this boils down to is that someone has accused me of plagiarizing.  All the other information that I have posted is either information that I have written since my time on AR or that I have written years ago. The information that I have written years ago has been posted on newsletters that I have distributed to Realtors, loan officers, and clients. It is also information that I have posted on websites in the past. The information that I have posted is not copywrited. Perhaps I should have my blogs copywrited as they are MY writings.

I will leave this as my last blog on AR. A part of me is very frustrated that I would be accused of plagiarizing things that I have written in the past. The other part of me is actually flattered that someone would go through the trouble to accuse me of it. Because that tells me that someone liked my blogs well enough to think that they were professionally written. So in that sense, I thank you. But going back to the false accusations... anyway, I wish you all luck in your future sales. And remember, in our industry we are educators first.

Me,

Thanks for the post. I wasn't aware of the accusation. However, why would you allow that to influence you in such a way, especially if it is false?

Hi Me ( or whoever you wish to be)

Strange that you would be accused of plagiarism when you've only posted two blogs? And one has been deleted? Weird.

Well, if you've been accused of the ole' clip & paste, then the best way to combat those accusations is to come back with some good, original content. If it was me, I wouldn't cut bait and run. I would stand up to my accusers and prove them wrong my writing skills. It doesn't matter what anyone says as long as I know in my heart that I am innocent.

However, if you are guilty, fess up and don't do it again.

But then, you can always just leave. And that really doesn't resolve anything.

People take other people's comments far too seriously.  If everybody just hoe'd their own row ...

Man Rich, you always nail things right on the head. Seriously, do your crab pots always come up as hearty as your comments?

Nice having you here for a while Me.

Me,

I don't know if you still stop in and read the blogs or if you have just deleted us entirely.  However, don't let those people chase you away.  I have had the same problem. I have been writing for years.  I have written for newspapers, magazines, the Internet and several books.  Everybody and their brother takes credit for my work and then accuses me of coping them.  Go figure.

If you have something to offer, and I'm sure you do, you are punishing the people that could benefit and letting those that don't want to learn get the high road.

I hope you see this and come back, we need those that would educate. :)

When a snowman I spent the better part of a day building was destroyed by someone in the night my father said to me "it is easier to destroy than to create."  Unhappy people spend too much time trying to knock down those that try and make a difference.  My advice is to pity their self loathing and keep moving forward.
