Gated Communities in Florida
In Florida, there are many gated communities. When searching for a property it can be a bit difficult determining if the community will be a fit for you.
Restrictions you need to know
When you are considering a particular area/community it is good to know what is allowed and what is not. For example, many communities will not allow certain types of vehicles like trucks or motorcycles. Another type of restriction would be pet, often the association will not want more than 1 or 2 pets. Another restriction would be weight and breed of dog. Then there are the 55+ communities which would be an age restriction.
Finding an agent to do the research
My thought is that if you list a property you should know what the rules and regulations are. I am currently working with a couple that has a pickup truck and a 60lb older pit bull mix. So before I show them homes I do the research for them. Sometimes this means calling agents to get documents or just going online to the Homeowners Association and downloading the info.
