1. You're not using lead capture forms
- Don't give away your content for free. The whole point of lead generation is to capture important contact information.
- Don't be afraid of scaring off leads by placing lead forms on your content.
2. Your content isn't engaging
- Let's face it, if your content is dull, no one will share it.
- Make sure you are providing useful and thought or emotion-proviking content.
3. You aren't using calls-to-action
- If you want your leads to do something, you need to be direct.
- Place a call-to-action in everything you do.
4. You aren't bringing traffic to your website
- Along the same lines, calls-to-action that bring leads to your website are the most successful.
- This gives you the opportunity to get them to form fill asking for more information after learning more about who you are and what you do.
5. You're not providing value
- Be sure to answer questions and engage in conversations where you can add insider information as an industry expert.
- Post different types of content.
- Share your blog posts and encourage readys to subscribe
In a nutshell, you are probably making lead generation much harder than it needs to be. Just always keep you goal in mind - capturing teh information of relevant leads. Basic inbound marketing will go much further than traditional outbound methods.
