I Need Help Determining If A Website Has Sufficient Traffic

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Carousel Realty of Dyer County Tn 248435000

Today I got a call from a company wanting me to advertise my Destin vacation rentals on their website for a "small" fee. I guess they are trying to take advantage of owners and renters alike dropping out of vrbo, trip advisor, etc. These companies are taking the lead from HomeAway(vrbo) who charge both the owner of the rental and the renter a fee.

The guy today called advertising www.findamericanrentals.com which when I pulled it up was pointing at www.findarentals.com. Can anyone tell me how to research and see if these sites are pulling in enough traffic to justify paying advertising dollars with them?

I liked it when I just paid vrbo $400-$500 per property per year to advertise on their website and the renter paid nothing.

A quick google search led me to this site which points you to a few other sites ( like this one) where you can findout more about the success ,or lack there of,  for the site

Mike - I always thought that the best way to do it was word of mouth, when people, who stayed there, tell others. Looks like nothing is this easy, though... Best of luck

There're a number of sites you can use, for example, Similar Web. Here's a website that lists a couple of strategies.

It's a complete scam. Never got a booking, paid a hefty price. And a single positive review among thousands of negative reviews is by the people of the company itself.

so I paid for a website $1125 and all social media $199- $1324 for the entire package. I'm guessing its a good price for a one time set up as developing a website is pricy where I am from.

Now comparing it to Home away there are no deductions from the income paid by the guest. They claim they will manage the social media as well as give you acess. Considering that I have just signed up, im hoping it bears fruit, because the more the property is known the more likely to earn income.
My only issue is the aggressive nature of the callers in that they keep calling , and that they want you to sign up right away without giving you a chance to breathe as well as the long winded way to get to the point

We actually just got the same pushy calls and they have been non stop. Trying to figure out if they are really worth it.

omg,it is the same with pushy calls, which alarms you, if its a scam or not? I am researching to see any positive reviews of a great income, specifically within Caribbean, but I cannot. Though the cost is minimal to some, i challenge if there truly a value here compared to other third parties outlets. I just dare you to ask, what is the number of bookings for 2018, and the percentage to your location.
