Wilson Springs Nature Area & Ponds is a 55 acre wildlife and fishing area in South Nampa at the corner of Powerline & Locust Ln. This is just minutes from shopping, the hustle and bustle of the city and is walking distance from many south Nampa subdivisions, but is a serene, peaceful place filled with wildlife, nature and it feels "out of town". Parking is along Powerline. It is across from the Nampa Fish Hatchery and is stocked with trout, bass and blue gill. There are four ponds and a paved walking path that loops around from the parking lot to each pond and fishing area. Banks as well as docks are available for fishing. Each pond has different fish and limits available, so be sure to read the rules and regulations prior to fishing. Trophy Pond is catch and release only, barbless hooks, no bait allowed, for anglers who enjoy the sport, want to catch larger fish but don't want to bring them home. Beach Pond is full of bass and bluegill. North & South Ponds have a two trout limit. Animals including ducks, geese, pheasant, quail, and more can be enjoyed while walking along the path.
