Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands Boynton Beach

Real Estate Agent with United Realty Group

Do you want to feel like you are in the midst of nature surrounded by local wildlife? Look no further than Green Cay Nature Center located in Boynton Beach, Fl off of Hagen Ranch Road. Each time you go is a unique surprise as birds fly by and stop for a photo and turtles swim along and sleep nestled on the water lilies. Then there are the alligators who remain very still at times waiting to catch and devour their next meal.

There is a nature center on location that offers exhibits and tours. You can take your own self-guided tour and use the qr code  signs located all along the boardwalk. Scan each bar code with your smart phone for information as you pass diffent sections or read the signs that line the length of path.

Green Cay Nature Center is open daily from dawn until dusk which varies on the time of year. The nature center is closed during the holidays. What is unique about Green Cay is that it overlooks over 100 acres of constructed wetlands which runs about 1.5 miles in length.

Once a month there is an evening nature tour that fills up fast so sign up early. Space is limited.   During  the evening tour I last visited, we saw an owl as his head completely turned around 360 degrees and wildlife that only comes out at night. It was a fun experience!

There is something for everyone here so whether you are visiting or a resident it is a place to experience and enjoy.

This is also a haven for nature photographers.

Just in case you are wondering, admission is free. There is a small charge for the monthly evening nature tour.

Green Cay is located at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road in Boynton Beach, Fl 33437.

Their phone number is 561 966-7000
