Green Cay Nature Center is open daily from dawn until dusk which varies on the time of year. The nature center is closed during the holidays. What is unique about Green Cay is that it overlooks over 100 acres of constructed wetlands which runs about 1.5 miles in length.
Once a month there is an evening nature tour that fills up fast so sign up early. Space is limited. During the evening tour I last visited, we saw an owl as his head completely turned around 360 degrees and wildlife that only comes out at night. It was a fun experience!
There is something for everyone here so whether you are visiting or a resident it is a place to experience and enjoy.
This is also a haven for nature photographers.
Just in case you are wondering, admission is free. There is a small charge for the monthly evening nature tour.
