I was surprised this morning when in the Q&A Nathan Gesnar posted my approach to 1 million points. Last October I decided that after a brief hiatus from Active Rain I would go whole hog and get back into spending some time here. Did I do it for more business? The answer might surprise you and that answer is no. I came back for different reasons. Early in my membership here when blogging was everything, I was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 and went to Houston at MD Anderson for treatment. The support I received from my industry locally was special but what surprised me is the amount of folks here at Active Rain that encouraged me and kept up with my progress. It is something I never forgot and one of the main reasons I don't plan to ever leave here. What I found out in that time is that despite whatever differences we have politically or otherwise, the real estate community is an especially giving and caring group of people and that to me is what makes us great. Please understand how much I appreciate your help today as I work towards this goal that will be completed by tomorrow, and then i go to what's next. What is more important to me is the gratitude I feel for you for all you have meant to me for many years. You are the best.
Now for something really lighter, I loved the musical remake of The Philadelphia Story called High Society with music written by the great Cole Porter. Here we have frank Sinatra and Celeste Home singing Who wants to be a Millionaire? They may say I don't but I do.
