What a great day this turned out to be, sunny crisp air and a fun new couple to show mountain log homes to. The bonus however, was not simply that they loved all the log homes we were looking at, but that they turned out to be biking enthusiasts too. Tomorrow we return to the listings they have narrowed down, but in amongst all the seriousness of buying a new log home so they can escape the summer heat of Florida, they are also looking at buying motorcyles again to renew an old hobby. They gave up riding in Florida because of the traffic, but agree this is the perfect place to ride again. I can't say every Monday is this productive these days, but this has turned out to be a really nice one. Come visit us here in the Smokies, we may convince you all you need a place here too!
They say vacation homes are on the rise. Investors are buying. How far are you from Gatlinburg?
Good Morning! I've got the same clients for today so I'm in early to answere emails and blogs. Gatlinburg is north of Murphy. I ususally give distances in driving time versus miles here in the mountains as it's much more accurate with winding mountain roads. It really depends on the time of year for Gatlinburg. Murphy is about an hour form the NC souther entrance to the Park. If it's peak tourist season it can take 90 minutes to get through the park, if one is an early bird or it's off season I have done it in less the 30 minutes. Either way, it's an absolutely gorgeous ride, whether on motorcycles or in a car. We've been very fortunate here, we don't have the traffic that one gets in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, but we have pretty easy access if we want it-pretty much the best of both worlds. If I can answer any more questions just let me know. Kaye
