The first half of 2017 just roared by, and here I am on June 29, 2017 thinking about what could I have done better, differently or not at all.
And the answer is:
I don't think there is anything more I could have done unless other opportunities had come my way. I did all that I could that I had control over. My marketing strategies are paying off, and there is no area that faltered because I didn't give it my full attention.
Clients were more than happy with me, in fact, I've had more repeat clients than in any previous years.
And, since no one else is there to grade me, I need to be honest with myself and look dispassionately at the work I've done.
So I give myself a 10.
Or an A+
When you watch shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and 4 judges rate you. Every now and again, the stars align and they all vote "10". What was that extra magic? Did I really have it these past 6 months?
And the answer is still: Yes.
I've never been busier, gotten more listings, made more contacts and gotten referrals. With this extra business comes being better organized, following up, and yet work with the next 6 months in mind.
YOU CAN'T REST ON YOUR LAURELS.
So here I sit, not resting on my laurels, but making plans on what I want to accomplish the next 6 months. Do I need to tweak my marketing? Absolutely, that's on ongoing project to make sure that the "vision board" of my brokerage is going in the right direction. That's just good business strategy.
Will I be making major changes? No, I will continue in the direction I'm going, just do more of it. And if I can't handle it all myself, get some associates or outside contractors to help me--something I've done during the first half of 2017 and it's been working out well.
