The process of moving leads through the sales pipeline is a journey we all know well, especially here at Buying Buddy. However, during the qualification stage of the process, you no doubt lose some leads due to an assortment of reasons. And, this is an area that we don’t always get a clear view on because we see individual situations and local trends, but it is a bit harder to see the bigger national picture.

Recently, we came across this new (June 2017) whitepaper on Hurdles to Homeownership: Understanding the Barriers. It was created as part of a series for the National Association of REALTORS®, so maybe you have seen it. The study lists mortgage availability, student debt burden, post-foreclosure stress disorder, single family affordability and hurdles in single family housing supply as some of the overarching reasons why some leads become stuck on the qualifications process and homeownership continues to be depressed.
