Active Listings:
Based on information from the Georgia Multi-Listing Service (MLS), today’s Market Snapshot of the Clayton County GA real estate market shows 635 single-family detached and 76 single family attached residential properties currently available for purchase, with an average list price of $161,400 for detached homes and $77,550 for condos/townhomes.
The majority of the inventory falls in the $70,000 to $200,000 range. The highest prices property currently for sale is $400,000. The lowest is an investor or handy-man’s bargain at $24,000.
This translates to less than 3-months supply of inventory now available to purchase.
Clayton County homeowners are seeing increased recovery of home values. Across the board, prices continue to be up over the same period in the previous year.
Sold and Pending Sale Listings:
In the last month (June 2017), 268 single-family detached residential properties sold in Clayton County with an average of 42 days on market. The median sold price of these homes was $128,200 and the average sold price was $131,978.
In the same period 27 single family condos or townhomes sold for a median sold price of $66,80 and an average sold price of $77,550 in an average 49 days on market.
On the whole, sales continue to outpace the previous year's sales.
More good news: Year-over year data shows that foreclosure numbers continue to fall in Clayton County.
