For the last 15 years, the Downtown Westfield Corporation has hosted a 5k run and pizza extravaganza in the summer. The 2017 Downtown Westfield Pizza Run takes place on Wednesday, July 26th. And it looks to be even bigger and better than ever before. Are you game?

2017 Downtown Westfield Pizza Run

Whether you're an individual or a group, the 2017 Downtown Westfield Pizza Run welcomes everyone. All participants will be categorized into five year increments beginning with 10 years and younger. For example, we start with the 10 and under group. Then, there's the 11 to 15 year olds. Next, the 16 to 20. And then the 21 to 25, etc. until the final grouping of 85 and older. Each group will be scored separately using the Chrono Track B-Tag Scoring method. USTAF-certified clocks show each runner their time every mile along the 5K (3.1 mile) course. Water stations will be set up at several points along the way.

Awards will be handed out to the top three male and female overall and for each age group as well as the top three Westfield finishers. Since you'll surely work up an appetite after the run, several Westfield establishments will be providing pizza, beverages and desserts to the participants. When the DJ stops, the music continues courtesy of the Michael Craig Band. Don't miss the random prize drawings throughout the evening.
