Fishing isn't always about the fish...

If you love to fish, then you'll appreciate William's post. Fishing isn't just about bringing home some fish. It's all about learning to be patient, learning to listen to nature and observe what's around you.

I so many people get upset when the fish do not bite.

But they forget it is not the catching of the fish only, it is also the experience.

Tonight while fishing this fine loon surfaced next to my boat.

He stayed for a minute and then under he went only to surface several hundred feet away.

The great outdoors are filled with surprises and interesting things if  you just let things happen at their own pace.

This is a very good selection for a reblog.

We have not been fishing for many years. We had boats when we lived in Portsmouth, VA and did a lot of fishing.

So true that fishing is not always about fishing. Living in the bayous of Louisiana, I spent a lot of time with my Dad fishing, talking and thinking about a lot of things. A lot of ideas were generated sitting in that boat and fishing.
