What to do in Glencoe IL in July 2017

July is a big month for family activities in the North Shore. Many families head out of town in August so July is packed with fun events.

MAGIC CLASS

Wednesday, July 12 from 6:45pm  to 7:40pm

Gary Kantor, a local magician and balloon artist, will teach a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing magic tricks geared for children.  Held at the Takiff Center, $20 for residents, $25 for non-residents.

MOVIES ON THE GREEN

Friday, July 14 at dusk

Take your children for a dusk airing of "Sing" at Wyman Green - free.  Wyman Green is between the library and the Village Hall.  Register here..  (And on Friday, August 4, they are airing "Lego Batman.")

MEET THE MACHINES

Saturday, July 22, from 9-11:30am.

This is a kid's dream come true - seeing and investigating the Village's trucks.  On display will be a Glencoe IL July eventsfiretruck, tractor, police car, ambulance, and dump truck.  Head to downtown Glencoe - event will be held rain or shine!

GLENCOE FESTIVAL OF ART

Saturday and Sunday, July 29/30 from 10am to 5pm.

I love this festival held in the streets in downtown Glencoe.  More than 130 artists will be represented and mediums will include ceramics, glass, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, and wood. The event is free and there will be live music, food, and activities for children.

PADDLE BOARD RAFFLE

It's not too late - raffle is on July 13!  Stop by the Takiff Center, North Shore Community Bank, or Grand Foods Glencoe to sign up to win a $1200 package that includes the board, paddle, and storage.  Go!

And don't forget that the French Market will be held every Saturday from now until October 14 at the Wyman Green.  Find fresh produce, meats, cheeses, breads, and more.  8am to 1pm.
