Value of "green" question

By

Has anyone had  experience with selling a "Green Home"  or representing a buyer on a "Green Home?" Do you find a buyer "sees value" and is willing to pay more for those features built into a home?  Can a seller ask more for that home?

Thanks

Hi Peggy,  Statistically yes.  Green Homes will get more money but it all depends.  Buyers are getting it more and more as long as you explain the benefit.  Another important thing is to market the property in places that green home buyers will be looking for them.

Most important of all, make sure the home is really green.  :)  Not just greenwash.  Huge liability issue there.
