Camp Verde Cornfest
Knowing how good the corn from Camp Verde is, it was time to check out Cornfest and bring some corn home. Of course, I have already had an ear and I couldn't beleive how fresh and sweet it is. It is as if you could go into your backyard and chop an ear off the stalk!
The craft fair was fabulous. All local vendors selling their goods that they made with loving care. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with the local residents. These people are the salt of the earth. Everything we bought we sampled!
Carrot Cake jam tastes like carrot cake! Of course my favorite nut is the pecan...and also my favorite piece of pie. I bought a little wooden truck for my favorite (only) grandson in his favorite color. We got to watch the wood artist make it them right there on the spot!
The most important thing is to get out there and support the local vendors and businesses in the area. To know that each product was made with loving care just makes it all that much better!
