Our ActiveRain family has lost one of our favorite people here in the Phoenix Rain. I'm so very sorry to say that Nancy Laswick's husband, Scott Condry passed away suddenly while in the hospital for surgery several weeks ago.
My heart goes out to Nancy and her family. She hasn't been in the rain lately of course, so please leave a message for her on this post. I will make sure she receives a link. Nancy is one of the sweetest and most kind ladies I know and she is loved by so many people.
I first met Scott at an ActiveRain Meetup many years ago. Scott was an amazing guy and so incredibly talented in so many areas. Scott always had a smile on his face and was always in an upbeat mood. And his stories and conversations where as wide and varied as they were interesting. Scott is going to be very missed by the Phoenix Rainers that knew and loved him.
A very moving service with 'Military Honors' was held on July 3rd. A 'Celebration of Scott's Life' followed. Many many people attended both ceremonies. It was clear that Scott was well respected and loved. It was not a surprise at all to hear the beautiful and fun stories that were shared about Scott. And the slide show of Scott's pictures was priceless. He grew up with many of the people that came to the services and it was clear he was the heart of his close knit community.
Scott we're all going to miss you. Rest In Peace my Friend.
