TGIF Concert in the Parks Series Tonight July 21 in Carlsbad
The free TGIF Concerts in the Parks are a big part of our Carlsbad summers, and probably the best entertainment option around in North San Diego County – they are FREE and held in 4 of Carlsbad’s largest parks.
And tonight’s concert is #5, beginning at 6 PM and running until approximately 8 PM with intermission midway. More on that in a moment.
Tonight’s concert is the 3rd and last one at beautiful Poinsettia Community Park.

Many people start arriving by 5 or even earlier to get the best seats up front near the band and the dance floor, and to find the closest parking. Be prepared to walk a distance from the neighboring streets, or you can use the shuttle service from the North Coast Calvary Chapel, at 1330 Poinsettia Lane with shuttles from 4:30 until 9 pm.
An important component of the TGIF Concerts in the Parks is fundraising which supports these free events as well as other activities in Carlsbad through the Friends of the Arts. You’ll find a number of people walking around with raffle tickets for some great prizes, to be raffled off at intermission.
So bring your blankets, chairs and food (there are several food vendors at the event, too) and enjoy a great time on a beautiful summer eve in Carlsbad.
