Orange is the New Black

By

One of the joys of living part time in Florida is that we get trees, flowers, and bushes we don't have in Oklahoma and of course, an ocean too. I love all the orchids, sea grapes, and palms everywhere, but on our last time in Florida I noticed this close to our condo. I have come around to orange in my later years, and this struck me as beautiful in color. It makes me think of how sometimes our real estate business gets stale and we quit noticing what is unique about where we practice and we start taking things for granted that might just excite a relocating buyer. If I start to sell in Jupiter which I hope to do, I will be sure to share the awe and beauty that I see. Too often we get caught up in the data and details of real estate and we forget that there needs to be an emotional component to decision making that pushes us to act. I know this may sound like a stretch but a Poinciana may just be the thing to bring a happy feeling about the decisions we make.

Gorgeous flowering tree Joe! We've got all kinds of bushes that have very pretty orange flowers. I'll be sure to let them know orange is the new black!  LOL

Hi Joe- we do have some beautiful flowers here. If you like orange, head south to Texas and take a peek at the Indian Paintbrushes.

Lovely tree, Joe. I saw some lovely orange flowers yesterday on my hike into the high Cascades.

We don't see many Poinciana trees here in Sacramento.  I always enjoy them when I travel to places where they exist.

Good morning Joe.  I love the color orange.  I received a shirt yesterday, care to take a guess on its color?

That is a lovely tree Joe Pryor you may have to plant one in Oklahoma (if it would survive)!

Hi Joe

That's a beautiful tree! We have several types of bushes in our area that are orange! Not sure Poincianas are in the area, though.

Hi Joe,

I totally agree with you on this. First of all, that is a beautiful flowering tree. It stands out.  I also agree with your analogy that we need to continue to keep our surroundings fresh. I have owned my Sedona home since 2003 and lived here full time for 10 + years and still pinch myself every morning!

Great picture of a beautiful tree, Joe. I adore flowering trees. Here in Charlotte it's the crepe myrtles that get everyone excited and they come in many colors... mine is hot pink next to my violet-blue colored home! Orange is considered an energy color and my office at home is painted orange... albeit a darker pumpkin orange.

I agree, this Poinciana tree does bring a happy feeling around it! I have to check if it grows well in Arizona. I know another flowering tree, bouganvillias, like Arizona climate very much.
