A Colorful Swedish House

My Mom shared this photo with me the other day. Her cousin (on my Mom's maternal side of the family) still lives in this family home in Fagersta, Sweden. I love the colors and it reminds me of many other classic Swedish homes I've seen in photos...but not yet in person.

I also recently received a copy of the family tree on my Mom's maternal side...as best I can tell. It's a little challenging to figure out everything but it goes back to the 1600s, and the family is pretty extensive - my maternal grandmother was one of 8 kids.

I really like the colors of that home as well, we don't see much of that here, as the HOA's would have a fit, haha. Everyone wants the bland neutral colors, it seems too important these days to follow the herd and fit in.

My family also hails from Sweden, and my Mom, Aunt, and Grandmother visited there to meet many of them. Mom did a lot of work on the family tree and I still have all of her notes - maybe someday I'll have the time and ambition to dig into them.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - the family tree IS, indeed, very special although it's a little hard to follow when you get back a few years. And the other old letters and photos I have are pretty cool.
