The international Lumberjack competition is held annually in Hayward, Wisconsin. This year’s competition will be held July 20 – 22, 2017.
This competition was created in 1960 to acknowledge the history of logging in our area. These worker skills adeptly used in the woods, became a sporting event. Over the years these events have grown in popularity and have increased in the number of competitions across the world.
The Lumberjack World Championships displays over 21 different events for both men and women. More than 100 athletes vie for more than $50,000 in prizes.
The population of Hayward increases 12,000 during this event every summer. Are you interested in seeing the games in person? Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Shows start at 5:00 each night and will be held rain or shine. Reserved seating tickets for the 3-day event are $68. Individual day tickets are available for between $22. – $28. depending on the day you wish to attend. General admission tickets are also available for $60. for the three days, and between $20 - $25 per day.
