Let’s Celebrate Plover!
Local area businesses have celebrated their hard work by supporting a celebration about Plover. Over the years the name has changed, Downtown Plover Days, Golden Sands Festival and Freedom Fest, but the celebration is basically the same. Celebrate Plover. This year’s event is being held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 beginning at 9:00am at Lake Pacawa Park, 1831 Maple Drive in Plover, Wisconsin.
Performers:
Enjoy such events as Dance Dynamics, where local students of all ages and expertise perform at noon.
The Drovers a variety band will entertain you with their music from 1:30 to 5:30.
At 5:30 Pat Keller takes over with selections from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Neal Diamond and more.
From 8:00 until midnight enjoy Grand Union, playing today’s favorites, great for listening and dancing.
Youth Activities:
Bouncing tents, face painting, Velcro wall, screamer slide, petting zoo, and a juggling and magic show. All of these activities are provided free of charge.
The US Army will provide a trailer of fun activities for the teens.
The Marketplace will have a variety of vendors with an assortment of foods to sample, antiques, flea market, and arts and craft items will also be available. Local businesses will also have displays to showcase what their business is all about.
Volleyball Tournaments, kayak and paddleboard demonstration and Water Fights are also popular events here. To cap off the celebration Fireworks over the lake beginning at dusk.
